Founder + President

Jessica (Jess) is a graduate gemologist, jewelry designer, nomad adventurer, and virtuous gem supplier, but what she is most proud of is to be Jian’s sister. It is her greatest honor to hold the baton that has been passed, run the race now set before her, and carry out a legacy that brings light, Hope and love for the world to see and experience.

She cares deeply for humanity, believes in the power of creativity, and stands firm in equality and justice for all.

She currently serves on the board for Ethical Metalsmiths, is Co-Founder of Virtu Gem, and Founder/Director for the Nomad Jeweler and Pilina Designs.

Vice President

Pastor Joshua is the founder and leader of the Hope Movement (formally Hope Center) together with his wife Shilan Lupemba. Currently they have two bases in Berlin, Germany and Tel Aviv, Israel with a third location opening soon in Budapest, Hungary.

The Hope Movement is an international discipleship movement committed to exponentially fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples. He is passionate to raise the next generation of leaders who come out of marginalized backgrounds to discover and make gold from dirt. He has been in full time ministry since the age of 19 with a heart and focus for the youth.

Secretary

Maria Thompson is a San Diego native currently living in Las Vegas. She grew up down the street from Jian and Jess and enjoyed after-school rides in Jess' truck blasting Jian's favorite music.

Maria is a former investigative journalist turned lawyer-in-training. She's set to graduate with her J.D. in December and take the Nevada bar exam in February. She is passionate and committed to serving the Southern Nevada community through various organizations. Maria is the President of the Chi Omega Alumnae chapter and volunteers as a Judge with the County's Truancy Diversion Program to help reduce absenteeism in local schools. Outside of those activities, Maria enjoys Orange Theory, half-marathon training, reading and traveling abroad.

Resilience Officer

Deborah’s vision is to make a significant difference and is compelled to provide leaders, and those they lead, with innovative support during critical transition phases.

Her superpower is shepherding companies and their leaders through profound transformation, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources, relationships, and guidance to overcome challenges they’re facing, reach their peak performance, and make a positive, lasting impact on their business, family, and community.

Creative Advisor

Nathaniel is an accomplished photographer and graphic designer. He is passionate about art and seeing the arts make a difference in the world.

Communications Advisor

Matthew Thompson is a director, writer and producer. His most recent documentary feature FOOD 2050, premiered at COP27 Climate Summit to world environmental and sustainability leaders. He has produced numerous short documentaries for non-profits, including Make-A-Wish Foundation San Diego — which resulted in their largest fundraising year to date — the Rockefeller Foundation and Music Cares.

He is the co-founder of The Matts Productions LLC, which produces cinematic story-driven commercials.

Jian and Matt were neighbors and best friends growing up in Encinitas, CA. Matt is currently based in Los Angeles.
